About the Course

Counseling entrepreneurs and startups is exciting! They invent ground-breaking technologies and business models. But successfully forming and launching a startup requires founders to make countless important decisions and complete numerous legal and governance tasks. Founders also have to ensure that new products and services are launched in compliance with applicable regulations, that legal and risk management protections are in place, and that funding does not run out before the startup achieves profitability.  Startup lawyers guide founders through these myriad decisions and tasks. And they must do all of this with care and precision at the speed of business and often in coordination with founders who are inexperienced and resource constrained. Consequently, the work of startup counsel is fascinating and immersive, but also challenging and risky. While others are encouraged to enroll and attend, this course on Startup Law and Fundraising is focused on teaching lawyers and law students everything they need to know about advising entrepreneurs and startups on how to build, grow, and finance innovative businesses and how to prevent common legal, governance and regulatory challenges. This course is offered by Business Law Seminar Group, LLC (c) 2025 Business Law Seminar Group, LLC
